Presidential Council members Musa Al-Koni and Abdullah Al-Lafi on Tuesday discussed with the military commanders supporting efforts to combat smuggling rings in the country.

The meeting was attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Muhammad Al-Haddad, Commander of the Tripoli Military Region, Abdel Basit Marwan, and Commander of the Western Military Region, Osama Al-Juwaili.

The PC members emphasized their commitment to extend all possible assistance and support for the security services to tackle crime gangs in the region with a focus on fuel smuggling and irregular migration.

Meanwhile, Chief of Staff Mohamed Al-Haddad gave a comprehensive briefing on the current military situation and the organizational developments of the military contingents.
