Abdullah Al-Lafi, a member of the Presidential Council (PC)/ Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, convened a high-level meeting on Tuesday to assess ongoing military and security operations in Zawiya.

The discussions involved Lieutenant General Salahuddin Al-Namroush, Deputy Chief of General Staff and Commander of the Western Coast Military Zone, alongside the Director of Zawiya Security Directorate and senior officers participating in the security mission.

According to the PC media office, the meeting focused on evaluating the progress of operations aimed at combating crime and apprehending individuals wanted by the authorities. Efforts are being coordinated with local security agencies to restore order and stability in the city.

The council also stressed the importance of safeguarding public and private property, highlighting the broader objective of ensuring peace and security across the region.
