Peace Equestrian Festival kicks off in Tripoli

The (Peace Festival) for folk equestrians has kicked off at the Equestrian School on Airport Road in Tripoli with the participation of 150 horse groups.
Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeiba and the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant-General Muhammad Al-Haddad, joined the opening ceremony on Friday.
The festival drew on its opening day a broad of visitors and spectators who enjoyed a horse parade performed by riders wearing the traditional attire (Aljard).
The event organized by the National Equestrian Authority features sports activities besides an exhibition to highlight the heritage of Libya.
