The Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) has warned its members against any action that would lead to halting the country's oil production, vowing to take legal measures against those attempting to close oil sites.

The PFG statement came after its staff demanded to have their salaries adjusted as their counterparts in the National Oil Corporation, or they will resort to closing specific oil facilities.

The force voiced its rejection of such actions and urged its members to shield the oil installations from any rows.

The PFG said it is in constant contact to resolve its staff financial issues through official legal channels, the statement read.
