Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibeh, alongside key ministers, has approved a new national strategy aimed at tackling the growing issue of drugs and psychotropic substance abuse in the country. The approval came during a launch event organized by the National Council for Economic and Social Development.
Dbeibeh emphasized the importance of the strategy in addressing social issues and protecting communities while recognizing the government's broader efforts to combat poverty and foster social welfare initiatives.
The strategy involves cooperation with over 27 ministries and key government sectors, focusing on the establishment of specialized social and judicial centres to counteract the growing threat of drug abuse.
The Prime Minister praised the collaboration between the Ministry of Justice, the Attorney General's Office, and the Council for their work on this crucial issue, marking this strategy as a significant step forward in ensuring Libya's social stability.
