Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh held talks on Thursday with Justice Minister Halima Ibrahim, focusing on strengthening the rule of law and advancing human rights in the country.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s media office, the meeting addressed the government’s ongoing efforts to bolster legal institutions and promote justice across Libya.
Dbeibeh underlined the importance of adopting clear and coordinated measures to support the state’s legal security framework and tackle human rights violations. He also stressed the need to empower judicial institutions to ensure fair justice and protect citizens’ rights and freedoms.
Meanwhile, Justice Minister Ibrahim provided an update on the ministry’s recent progress, including reforms in the judiciary, steps to enhance transparency and accountability, and efforts to document legal and human rights abuses in coordination with relevant authorities.
