Police in Hay al-Andalus Municipality, west of Tripoli, has arrested a man who threatened a lady that he would blow up her home after she refused to date him.

The police launched an investigation and a search operation for the offender after the woman called them to report the incident and ask for help.

The suspect was tracked in a Hyundai Azera vehicle that had no license plates. The security directorate indicated that he resisted arrest and intentionally rammed into the police car before threatening to hurl a grenade at the police.

In order to stop the offender from getting away, the police targeted the car engine and punctured its tires. The perpetrator gave himself in and confessed to the charges against him, according to the General Investigation Department, confirming that he has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
