Zuwara Security Directorate said that it had detained 186 illegal immigrants after receiving information indicating the presence of abnormal movement in one of the buildings inside the city.
On its Facebook page on Monday, the Directorate clarified that the immigrants were from different African nationalities who were waiting to be smuggled to Europe.
On Sunday, the Directorate arrested a Moroccan national after raiding a house in Abu Kamash area, noting that the house has become a focal point for illegal migration where equipment required for such acts including passports, identification cards for several people of African and Arab nationalities and mobile phones were seized.
