The United States Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, on Wednesday praised the Libyans’ reiteration of the sovereignty of their country, through steps toward a ceasefire.
Pompeo told reporters in Washington, in reference to a proposed meeting of Libyan leaders in Tunisia next month, “We reiterate our call for foreign forces to leave the country and allow the Libyans to decide their own future.
Pompeo added that he looked forward to the next Libyan political dialogue forum, saying that they support the transfer of power to a new executive authority.
