Tripoli has been seeing security unrest and on-and-off clashes pushed by political agendas, the most recent of which were Friday night clashes in Al-Gebis neighborhood where an armed group loyal to Osama Juwaili and Fathi Bashagha tried to enter Tripoli by storming a camp for National Mobile Force that is affiliated with the Government of National Unity. The clashes ended after hours following mediation efforts.
