Presidential Council spokeswoman, Najwa Wahiba, has stated that there is no military solution to the crisis in Libya, pointing out that the only possible solution comes through political consensus.

"It has been proven over the past years that the crisis in Libya is not resolved militarily, and that no party is capable of a military solution”, Wahiba said to the Russian Sputnik agency, noting that "the Libyans themselves aspire for the elections and reject any conflicts".

She also stressed that the Presidential Council adhered to consensus and balance with all parties in order to preserve the gains that were achieved in Geneva Agreement, confirming its support for efforts to unify the military institution.
