The head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, in his capacity as the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, has met on Monday, with the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity/ Minister of Defense, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, and the Chief of General Staff, Mohammed Al-Haddad, to discuss the latest military developments.

The officials reviewed the work of the Joint Military Commission (JMC) 5+5, and the steps taken to unify the military institution, away from all political strife, following up on the continuation of the ceasefire to maintain security stability.

The meeting was attended by members of the JMC from the western region, the commanders of the western military regions, the Presidential Guard, the military police, and the head of the Operations Authority.
