The Public Prosecution has issued an order to arrest three members of the Internal Security Service on charges of forcibly detaining the member of the High Council of State, Nizar Kawan.
The Public Prosecution said, in a statement published by the Attorney General’s Office, that the investigating authority had identified the suspects in the incident of preventing Kawan from moving and attempting to arrest him outside the law, and explained that the Attorney General’s Office had received a report regarding the intentional obstruction of Nizar Kawan's path by unknown persons, who then attempted to forcibly take him to an unknown destination.
The Public Prosecution added that it had undertaken the investigation procedures that resulted in proving the involvement of three members of the Documentation and Information Department of the Internal Security Service, and thus the investigating authority ordered the arrest and bringing of the suspects.
