The Public Prosecution has ordered the detention of two officials pending investigation on charges of violation of regulations and wasting 11,889,438 dinars of funds allocated to the National Authority for Gifted and Talented Children.
The Public Prosecutor's Office confirmed that the Anti-Corruption Prosecution at the Benghazi Court of Appeal had received a report revealing financial embezzlement in the management of the Benghazi Center for Gifted Students.
Investigations revealed that the administrative and financial affairs officials of the Authority and the Center were involved in corruption practices that led to achieving illegal benefits, which damaged public funds.
