The Qatari Ambassador to Libya, Khaled Al-Dosari, met with UN Envoy Abdoulaye Bathily on Tuesday to discuss the UN mission's efforts to resolve disputes hindering the peace process in Libya.

During the meeting, Al-Dosari reiterated Qatar's support for the political process and relevant Security Council resolutions, emphasizing Doha's support for all initiatives aimed at finding a peaceful solution that preserves Libya's unity and stability.

The meeting between the Qatari ambassador and the UN envoy coincided with Bathily's call to bring together the "five major Libyan parties" to end the dispute over outstanding problems regarding the elections.

The parties include the Presidential Council, the Government of National Unity, the House of Representatives, the High Council of State, and the rogue commander Khalifa Haftar, who is controlling the eastern region.
