Minister of Transport, Milad Matouk, said that the reconstruction process of Tripoli International Airport will commence in June with the contribution of Italian companies.
Matouk told Xinhua News Agency that the ministry has completed all technical and financial procedures to start the reconstruction, adding that consortium of Italian companies Consorzio Aeneas, the contractor for the project, will begin work after the payment of the first batch that was agreed on for reconstructing the airport, which is expected to be disbursed during the coming days.
The Ministry of Transport of the Presidential Council signed in July 2017 a 79 million euro contract for the reconstruction of Tripoli International Airport.
