The Libyan Red Crescent of Misurata branch called on the Tunisian authorities to receive over six children to ISIS parents of Tunisian nationalities, rescued during the battle for the liberation of Sirte from the extremist group in 2016.

"All required procedures for the children have been terminated in order to hand them over to their relatives who have been directly contacted in Tunisia," the Red Crescent of Misurata clarified.

Representative of the Red Crescent Faisal Jalwal said in a joint press conference with Misurata Municipal Council and Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous Force that this file had been a major burden for them, adding that they are the first branch of the Red Crescent in the world to adopt children of ISIS parents and provide them with shelter, care, and treatment.
