Misrata Red Crescent Society has announced the recovery of 16 bodies of illegal immigrants over the past two days from the city's coast.
According to the Society, teams headed to recover the bodies and search for the missing persons, based on instructions from the Public Prosecution and the Security Directorate.
The teams also conducted extensive combing operations on the beaches within the Misrata Municipality, and search operations are still ongoing.
