The Libyan Airlines has announced the reopening of European airspace to its aircraft during its flights to Istanbul. The company explained on Thursday that its Airbus 330 aircraft left Istanbul for Mitiga Airport through Greek and Maltese airspace.
The airlines indicated that this shortens the flight time Istanbul - Tripoli by about an hour as an initial step, in addition to saving less than 3,100 kilograms of fuel. The company considered that this would increase operating efficiency and save time for passengers alike, in addition to being a qualitative leap for the company to reduce operating costs, it said.
