The Roads and Bridges Authority assured motorists that the Wadi Al-Kouf Bridge is in a good state and free from structural damage.
The authority said its team made an inspection visit to the bridge after concerns about a visible crack in its structure, confirming that the damage was limited to the upper rubber joint on the movable side.
According to the authority, the marks do not indicate major damage as the affected parts are replaceable.
Security services recently closed the Wadi al-Kouf Bridge for safety reasons. Motorists were forced to take the old underpass route as an alternative.
