Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov has accused the Western countries of failure to resolve the Libyan crisis, calling on them to reveal the goals of their intervention in Libya.

This came in statements he made at a press conference held at the United Nations headquarters in New York, where his country chairs the UN Security Council for April.

Lavrov criticized Western talk about timetables for resolving crises, and said that France has repeatedly called for holding conferences on Libya which concluded that elections should be held, but nothing has changed and these elections have not yet taken place.

After pointing out that Moscow showed the goals of part of the special military operation in Ukraine, he called on the West to reveal the goals they sought in Libya, Iraq and other places.
