Russian agricultural exports to Libya increased by 18% in 2024, highlighting the growing trade ties between Moscow and African nations.
According to the Russian news agency Interfax, Libya is now among the top five African importers of Russian agricultural products, with significant purchases of wheat, barley, corn, oils, fats, meat, fish, and dairy products.
This rise comes amid a broader trend of African nations increasing their reliance on Russian wheat, with the continent now accounting for over half of Russia’s wheat exports this season.
