The ambassador of the European Union (EU), Jose Sabadell, said that the new Libyan government faces immense challenges, adding that the Libyan people want and deserve change.

Sabadell indicated that they had received strong overtones regarding reconciliation and unity, stressing the readiness of the EU in working closely with the prime minister the Government of National Unity and his team to reach a prosperous future for all citizens of Libya.

The EU ambassador extended his heartfelt congratulations to the new Government of National Unity, having attended the swearing-in ceremony at a session of the Parliament on Monday in Tobruk.
