Speaker of House of Representatives Aguila Saleh met on Wednesday in Al-Qubba with the US Embassy’s Chargé d'Affaires to Libya, Jeremy Brendt.
In a post shared on the US Embassy’s X platform, Brendt said the discussions focused on recent key announcements made by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya over the past two days, directed at the Libyan people and the UN Security Council.
Brendt emphasized that the UN mission will require unified Libyan and international support to advance the political process, build consensus for unified governance, and establish a credible roadmap leading to successful national elections.
