Head of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) Mustafa Sanalla discussed with the CEO of Repsol, Josu Imaz aspects of cooperation in the area of oil exploration and production and renewable energies during the former's visit to Repsol's HQ in Madrid on Monday.
A statement by the NOC confirmed that the Spanish energy company would resume its operations in Libya and has committed to investing in developing oil fields and renewable energies, mainly in the El Sharara field, Libya's largest oil field located in the Murzuq region southwest of Libya.
Sanalla, reaffirmed the strategic relationship that binds the two parties and vowed to work towards expanding the ties existing between them to serve the common interests of the two institutions.
