The sacked National Oil Corporation (NOC) Chairman, has confirmed his presence in Tripoli, saying that he is working on mitigation efforts to resolve the current crisis.
In a statement to Reuters on Thursday, Sanallah warned of the possibility of the emergence of a parallel oil corporation, adding that the executive directors and subsidiaries of the NOC still recognized him as chairman of its board of directors.
Two NOC affiliates, Al-Waha Oil Company and Arabian Gulf Oil Company tweeted support for the new NOC board before Al-Waha swiftly deleted its message. It was not immediately clear whether other NOC affiliates recognised Bin Qdara as chairman.
