Saudi Arabia

A Saudi civil aviation security delegation arrived at Mitiga International Airport on Saturday as part of preparations to resume direct flights between Libya and Saudi Arabia.

The delegation, which included senior officials from the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation and aviation security directors from major Saudi airlines, was received by the airport's general manager. The visit focused on inspecting security and operational procedures at the airport.

The move comes after discussions between Libya’s Minister of Transport, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, and Saudi civil aviation chief Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, held on the sidelines of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization’s General Assembly in Rabat. The talks centred on restoring air connectivity between the two countries.
