The Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Sayala and the President of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanalla, discussed methods to resolve the ongoing issue of border demarcation with Greece and Malta in an amicable manner, in the interest of Libya and all parties in accordance with international laws.

Sayala confirmed that the ministry would communicate with all governments involved to negotiate and attempt to reach a final solution, provided that these discussions take place in a transparent and realistic manner, in a way which does not impair the interests of Libya in any way.

For his part, Sanalla said that the NOC will demand that the oil companies operating in the disputed areas should suspend their exploration activities due to the ongoing dispute, until a legal settlement is reached which serves the interests of all countries involved
