The municipalities of Ajdabiya and Sirte have announced a one-day extension to the school holiday, with classes now scheduled to resume on Monday. The decision comes in response to the severe weather conditions caused by heavy rainfall affecting several regions.
Ajdabiya Municipality cited power outages, flooded streets, and the displacement of families as key factors behind the extended closure.
Meanwhile, Sirte Municipality issued a statement urging public sector officials, company managers, and bank representatives to resume normal operations on Sunday, with the exception of the education sector at all levels.
The municipality emphasized that schools are expected to reopen on Monday unless unforeseen circumstances necessitate further delays.
