More than 57.600 doses of the British "AstraZeneca" Covid-19 vaccine have arrived in Libya, provided by the "Covax" initiative, the Ministry of Health of the Government of National Unity (GNU) announced on Thursday.

This is the second batch of anti-Coronavirus vaccines to reach the country, as more than 100,000 doses of the Russian "Sputnik" vaccine arrived on April 4.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of the GNU, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah declared that by April 11, one million doses of the vaccine will arrive in Libya.

In the meantime, the Minister of Health, Ali Al-Zanati, said that the vaccination campaign will start during the middle or end of next week, adding that the campaign will target everyone residing in Libya , whether is Libyan or not.
