Security services in Sabratha raided a hideout for human trafficking gangs on Monday.

Sabratha Security Directorate said the operation led to the arrest of 40 illegal immigrants of different African nationalities.

It noted that the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency received the migrants to organize their stay in shelters in Tripoli.

Recently, security services have intensified their campaign against illegal immigration as part of the Ministry of Interior's plan to reduce the number of crossings and attempts to move from Libya by sea toward Europe.
