A Syrian Cham Wings plane arrived in Benghazi on Sunday, carrying a number of Syrian officers loyal to Bashar Al-Assad's regime. Officers at the Benina airbase confirmed to Fawasel media platform that the Cham Wings plane landed at the Benina base, carrying Syrian officers loyal to Assad.
The global flight tracking website FlightAware also confirmed that a plane coming from Syria landed at Benina airport in Benghazi on Sunday. The sources also indicated that the Syrian officers were transferred to the Al-Jufra military base, in preparation for their transfer to Russia.
The Russian news agency RIA Novosti said that Bashar Al-Assad and his family members "arrived in Moscow, where Russia granted them asylum on humanitarian grounds."
