The head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, discussed on Sunday with the Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, the Audit Bureau observations on the disbursement of salaries and development projects, in addition to the government’s readiness to determine the level of public spending during the year 2025.
According to the Audit Bureau Facebook page, the two sides stressed the need for the Ministry of Finance to commit to early referral of salary financing authorizations to the Central Bank of Libya, and to give them absolute priority in financing, to ensure their disbursement on the specified dates.
Shakshak stressed the necessity of controlling public spending and completing the necessary estimates for the year 2025 within the limits of its expected resources, taking into account fair distribution, and adopting disclosure and transparency requirements.
