The Sirte Municipal Council has welcomed the holding of a consultative meeting between members of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the High Council of State (HCS) in the city, expressing its full readiness to provide all the necessary capabilities to make the upcoming meeting a success.
The Municipal Council affirmed, in a statement, its welcome to host this meeting, based on its role in consolidating the principle of consultation, tolerance, unity, and rejecting differences among all Libyans.
A number of members of the HoR and the HCS previously called for holding a consultative meeting in Sirte in order to consult on ways to end the chronic state of division, develop a comprehensive road map to unify state institutions, and form a unified government away from any external interference.
