The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced on Sunday that the Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Manufacturing Company has completed drilling two horizontal wells in the Zelten and Wadi fields using Real-Time Reservoir Mapping technology.

The wells are expected to add a combined production capacity of 2,300 barrels per day (bpd).

The first well, C355H-6, in the Zelten field, was drilled as part of the initial phase of the 2024 exceptional production increase plan. The second well, D27H-149, in the Wadi field, is part of the development plan for the M reservoir.

Evaluation tests revealed that the Zelten well has a production potential of over 1,200 bpd while the Wadi well is estimated to produce around 1,100 bpd.

The NOC noted that Sirte Oil's efforts have pushed the company's crude production to over 100,000 bpd, marking an unprecedented milestone.
