The Sirte commercial port is about to resume work after finishing maintenance, after a 14-year hiatus, according to Sirte Free Zone media.
The committee assigned by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sirte Free Zone discussed plans to improve the readiness of the port, and the necessary arrangements to receive the first commercial ship in the port after a long hiatus, to facilitate commercial movement and promote regional and international investments.
They also discussed plans to restore the port’s vital role in facilitating trade, thus contributing to supporting the local economy and opening new horizons for development.
