Sirte Protection Force disclosed Tuesday that it had tracked activities of ISIS elements in conjunction with Haftar's forces' movements in the valleys, southeast and west of the city.

The force confirmed that it had raised the state of alert to its maximum, in anticipation of any attack pointing out that ISIS is exploiting the movements of Haftar's forces to cover their tracks.

"Suspicious movements were tracked in the past few days which were thought to be of Haftar's forces," the force explained, noting that there are fears that ISIS members would infiltrate into Sirte and try to carry out a series of attacks in revenge for their defeat in 2016, especially after the recent recording released by Al-Baghdadi.
