Six people were killed on Sunday in an explosion at a military site in Tajoura, east of Tripoli, during a cleanup operation.
The blast occurred as mines were being relocated from the "Martyr Sabriya" Battalion headquarters. Among the victims were two Libyan citizens, with the rest identified as African workers.
Libya's Ministry of Interior confirmed the incident, noting the discovery of human remains at the scene. The Director of Security in Tajoura, along with emergency and investigation teams, was dispatched to the site to conduct an inquiry.
The fire caused by the explosion was quickly contained, and the case was handed over to the Military Prosecutor for further investigation, according to the Interior Ministry.
