The president of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, has reiterated support for the success of national reconciliation efforts and achieving stability in Libya.

These remarks came in a meeting with the Head of Libyan Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, on the sidelines of Sixth African-European Summit in Belgium, where Ramaphosa hoped Libya would be stable and secure ahead of holding elections, to which Libyans had been looking forward.

Menfi welcomed the support by South Africa to the efforts of the Presidential Council, which had been trying to develop in different fields, hailing the friendly relations between the two countries.
