The Spanish Ambassador to Libya, Javier García-Larrache says that arrangements are in place to start procedures for granting visas to Libyan citizens, reaffirming that he is performing his functions from the capital Tripoli.

His remarks came on Wednesday, during a meeting with Interior Minister Khaled Mazen, in the presence of the embassy's security attaché.

The two sides consulted on illegal immigration, terrorism, organized crime, and money laundering.

They also discussed cooperation on antiquities protection, tourist police, and other issues of common concern, according to a statement by the Interior Ministry.
