The Minister of Sports in the Government of National Unity, Abdul Shafi Al-Juwaifi, has met with his Egyptian counterpart, Ashraf Sobhi, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
According to ’Our Government Platform’, the two sides discussed mechanisms to support youth and sports initiatives, develop joint training programmes, and enhance communication between young athletes of both countries.
During the meeting, which took place in Cairo, Al-Juwaifi stressed the depth of historical relations between Libya and Egypt, and stressed the importance of exchanging sports expertise and expanding the scope of visits between national teams and other teams to participate in various Arab and African competitions.
