The Protection Force of Sirte declared Saturday the high-alert status after detecting movements of pro-Dignity Operation forces south of the city.

The force said in a statement that it will conduct static and mobile patrols south of Sirte, stressing that the situation inside the city and its outskirts is completely under control.

Forces affiliated to the Dignity Operation entered Friday areas of "Wadi Bay" and "Abu-Nagem", which is about 100 kilometres south-West of Sirte, coming from Jufra.

According to sources from Sirte, the pro-Dignity forces operated patrols in these areas with more than 150 armoured desert vehicles and set up temporary checkpoints until the early morning hours of Saturday.
