The Sudanese Embassy in Tripoli called on their citizens not to travel to Libya except through legitimate official means and procedures, and to enter through the official ports in order to preserve their lives and safety and not to fall into the clutches of human trafficking gangs.

The embassy advised their citizens to be cautious while traveling inside Libya, urging them to notify the embassy or Libyan authorities in the event of one Sudanese was kidnapped by gangs.

It is worth noting that the authorities in Libya were able to free 8 abductees from Sudan in the area of Qadahiyah, near Sirte on Wednesday. Those kidnapped were abducted and tortured before being freed.
