A charter for peaceful coexistence, good-neighbourly relations, and mutual respect was signed between members Tabu and Awlad Suleiman tribes residing Al-Hijara neighbourhood in Sabha.

The charter insisted on the lifting of social cover on the perpetrators of crimes and the refusal of any acts of aggression against citizens and property.

The two sides stressed the need to deal with offenders on the basis of their crimes and not to draw the tribal sensitivities to residential areas.

Sabha has experienced in the last few days violent clashes between the two tribes, causing a number of civilian casualties.
