Tarhuna Municipal Council announced the arrival of a large delegation of elders from the eastern region on Wednesday evening.
This comes in preparation for the National Reconciliation Forum, according to the council's press office.
The visiting delegation met with members of the Council of Sheikhs and Dignitaries of Tarhuna, in the city's Shura Hall, where several speeches were delivered on reconciliation. Meetings are said to continue on Thursday.
