The Local Council of Tawergha denied on Monday the rumors regarding the halt of trucks carrying several portable classrooms.
In a statement, the council clarified that "the trucks were allowed to pass after initially being stopped due to some incomplete legal procedures."
The statement also noted that "the necessary legal and administrative procedures were completed by the local authorities in Tawergha to help address overcrowding in the city's schools."
Media outlets had reported that security forces affiliated with the Misrata Security Directorate had stopped the mobile classroom trucks at Gate 14 in Tawergha and prevented them from entering the city.
