Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has expressed optimism that general elections will be held in Libya by the end of the current year 2023.

During a governmental meeting, Tebboune revealed efforts being made to settle the crisis, expressing his hope that the year 2023 will be the year of the solution, after the recent political efforts in the country.

The Algerian president added, "Libya is among the three main issues that Algeria is seeking to find a settlement for, in addition to the Palestinian and Sahrawi issues."
