The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has stressed the necessity of devising a new solution to the crisis in Libya that differs from previous solutions, by holding elections without foreign interference, pointing out that all old methods have been tried in Libya and did not bring a solution.

Tebboune indicated, in a television interview on Friday, that Algeria stands with all Libyan parties, and that most of the great powers support Algeria’s proposal, which it adopted from the beginning, to solve the crisis, which is the dialogue leading to national reconciliation between all parties and enabling the Libyans to exercise their sovereignty through fair and transparent elections.

Tebboune stressed that Libya needs a new elite chosen by the people and through which the building of a state structure begins with all its political institutions.
