Telecommunication services are returning gradually in eastern Libya after two days of suspension, Libyan Post Telecommunications & Information Technology Company (LPTIC) has confirmed.

"The maintenance teams are striving to repair the damaged cable and restore communication services on the main routes at full speed," the company said on Facebook.
 
On Sunday, communication services were disrupted in eastern Benghazi after a fiber-optic cable was broken as a result of random digging.
