The Minister of State at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed Al-Khulaifi, has discussed with the UN envoy Hanna Tetteh developments in Libya.
According to the Qatari Foreign Ministry, the discussions took place in a phone call in which Qatar reaffirmed its close monitoring of the current developments in the capital, Tripoli, over the past few days.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry called on all parties to avoid escalation and resolve differences through dialogue, reiterating its firm position on Libya's unity and achieving the people's aspirations for stability and development.
It reaffirmed its full support for the political process, the efforts of the UN mission, and all peaceful solutions that preserve Libya's sovereignty.
